I expect the price to shorten a little bit as some money comes in across the morning but this is a race which has thrown up 3 winners with SP’s of 20/1 or higher in the last 10 years with the favourites historically not running that well with only 2 winning favourites in the last 10 years. Better and Better has ran well on his 2 starts with a 2nd place on debut in a Class 2 at 20/1 before justifying favouritism lto and winning. This 2 year old has one of the highest speed ratings in this race and P J McDonald is riding well at the moment with a 27% strikerate over the last 2 weeks. Draw wise it’s not good reading with 0 winners in 24 runnings from stall 21, but trends can be broken and at this price, running into a place will be solid profit anyway even if the win doesn’t come to fruition.
